Time In
Time in is a term most commonly used in Live Action Roleplaying to indicate when everyone is playing and distinguish from when they are just hanging around in costume waiting for things to start.
Because of the more theatrical nature of Live Action gaming discussion of real world matters such as the latest episode of Babylon 5 are often more heavily discouraged during time in than in table top games (though no GM is going to thank for holding a totally irrelevant discussion). More importantly players often have conversations in character without a GM being present and will refer to this as being "timed in". When timed in they often object to other people interjecting and trying to talk to them (as opposed to their characters).
Live Action games generally start with the call "Time In" and end with "Time out". Advertisements often specify "time in will be at 8pm" (for instance).
