The Great PriWriMo Icon Table (February 2011)

FAQ

Last time around I ran this table without any rules, however that did seem to cause some confusion and anxiety for some people so this time I have some rules, though they are more by the way of guidelines. EDIT: Actually I think it's basically an FAQ. These are points that came up several times in November.

1. The purpose of this icon table is to assist you in the setting and achieving of targets. I do not judge whether you deserve an icon.
2. To get an icon, therefore, you need to set a target and then achieve it. You judge when a target is achieved. You can ask me if you think you are allowed an icon, if you like, but I will only answer "what do you think?" or, more likely, "yes".
3. The first two columns of the table are for commenting targets, the rest of the table is for writing targets.
4. Some of the commenting icons say "10 Comments" on them and some of the writing targets say "1000 Words" on them. These icons are marked as such in the table. If you claim one of these it would be sensible if your target involves leaving 10 comments or writing 1000 words in some sense, though this isn't compulsory.
5. Your target should however involve only comments left and words written since the 1st February 2011.
6. It does not matter whether your comments/words are fiction related, took place in one single day or spread over several, are all generated by one project or are spread over a number of projects. These are your targets and I encourage you to set them as appropriate for you. However the claims must be for something related to Primeval.
7. This icon claim table is separate from the Primeval Mini Bang, though you are welcome to claim icons for writing all or part of your Mini Bang. As long as you are involved in the Primeval PriWriMo writing threads you can pretty much claim for any Primeval thing you want some encouragement on.
8. You can claim for stuff that isn't finished.
9. You can claim for stuff that isn't posted.
10. You may claim as many icons as you like.
11. You may claim several icons in one day.
12. However please remember this is a group cheer-leading activity not a competition. If you seem, on average, to be claiming more than one icon per day you might want to consider setting yourself some harder targets, just to make sure everyone has a good chance at getting icons.
